Our partnership with Mobio continues this year, and we’re so impressed by how much amazing stuff Mobio has done since our last collaboration for Red & White 2010. (Check out their Facebook page for the latest and greatest)

Mobio Identity Systems is an identity management company specializing in mobile commerce and mobile marketing applications based in Vancouver. Mobio is the company’s flagship application for iPhone and Android. Their BlackBerry release is slated for April 2011. The application enables “interact anywhere” capabilities by turning smartphones into “payphones” and “identity exchange devices.” Using patented security technology and open source QR barcodes, Mobio allows consumers and businesses to transact and interact anywhere. Mobio cloaks credit card and identity details during all transactions and interactions thereby protecting the user’s identity.

This year, we have two exciting ways to use the Mobio app to get involved with Red & White:

Scan the barcode below to purchase your ticket using Mobio – it’s totally safe and secure – and as a bonus, you’ll pay only $40, a $5 discount! Don’t fret though, your ticket purchase still has the same great impact for Rethink; $45 will still go right to the charity thanks to Mobio’s generosity.

Want a chance to go to Red & White Ball for free this year? Mobio is giving away a free pair of tickets! All you need to do is scan the barcode below – it’s absolutely free. On April 1st we’ll be announcing the winner of the pair of tickets. Send the barcode to your friends on Facebook, via Twitter, send them a link to this page – it’ll work anywhere. Good luck Mobio users!

One of our most exciting new Sponsors this year is MobioID. Mobio is a super-cool iPhone app that allows you to pay without cash or cards. Leveraging QR barcode technology (big in Japan) and strong cryptography, Mobio creates a random credit card number each time you scan a Mobio barcode to pay for something. So basically, all you have to do is download the app, register your credit card once, and you’re set to use the camera on your iPhone to pay for anything (including your Red&White ticket!).

Mobio will be contributing $10 to Rethink for every ticket sold through them, meaning your early bird ticket will only cost you $40, but Rethink will get $50! If you’d like to use some amazing new technology while you increase your impact for Rethink Breast Cancer, please use Mobio to get your ticket.

You can check out the app, the facebook page, and find out more straight from the official website. Thanks Mobio!
